    Great for our School

….So far I have been using The TV Shield to house 4- 55″ TV’s in a school gym. As we know PE classes are full of students looking to blow off some steam. Well the shield has protected my TV’s from flying basketballs, volleyballs and any other items flying through the air. When I use them during my game for various things…you cannot even tell there is a shield in front of the TV. It looks great!

    Good buy

Posted by Louis on 20th Aug 2014

I recently purchase this product because buying an out-door TV was not an option, too expensive. Although a bit pricey, it does the trick, i.e. keep the TV safe from the elements. There is a couple problems though, the poles that are used to prop the fron enclosure up can break at the ends because they are made of plastic, so be very careful not to install before you secure the TV inside or they will break. My wife broke mine (both of them) before I even began the installation process. The most difficult part of the set-up is securing the TV inside. If you are not handy you may have a problem. The last thing is if the plastic cover on the front is down (transparent door), the sound will be muffled, they should have installed additional air vents for sound. I leave the front open when watching TV, and close it when I'm not. Also it is a bit difficlut to close the thing up becasue of its flexibility. You have to have patience because it is difficult to close it because of its flexibility, and not to mention locking it. All in all I would recommend it.

2nd The TV Shield I have purchased! Great invention!!!! Saves MONEY!

Posted by outdoor tv guy on 20th Aug 2014

My wife and I have purchased two The TV Shields in the past 2 months. One for a 26 Inch TV that we use on our boat and one for a 42" TV that we use at home-outdoors. That being said, we are very familiar with the product and would like to share our experience. I read the other reviews and cannot understand the one negative review. Did he buy the same The TV Shield that we bought? I work with plastics and am very familiar with plastics manufacturing and this product canNOT be made at home or on a DIY basis, especially for 1/3 of the price as the one reviewer mentioned. If you do try, it will be crude and not have the same features nor look anywhere as nice. That is preposterous actually knowing how much the molds cost and what goes into making just the plastic back. I also know that to purchase just the LEXAN plastic for the front panel at a .25 thickness would cost over $100 US at least, before all the work that goes into cutting, CNC the holes, assembly and all of the components that make it so great and able to open/close, lock etc. So, that being said. We have purchased 2 The TV Shields in two different sizes. The second one was slightly improved and better than the first, it looks like they are improving the product in small ways, although the first one we purchased was great and we thought looked and worked just fine; we did notice subtle improvements. Everyone that has seen it at our house and boat, has liked it. Several of our friends did not even know something like this existed and I am sure will be customers soon. CHEAP compared to the other options on the market, much cheaper than an outdoor TV as other reviewers have mentioned. If you are looking to have a TV outside or to protect a TV, this is definitely the best and most affordable option. More times than not, we are dissapointed with purchases or the customer service we receive (especially when shopping online), when purchasing the tv shield, we have been highly satisfied with both the product, but also the customer service we have received when speaking with the seller over the phone multiple times with questions. Last but not least, they have a website that they sell directly from and has a TON of information on the product, videos of it in action (very helpful for us) and dimensions of the individual sizes etc.

    Great Product...WOW

So after wanting a TV on my deck for a long time but not wanting to spend crazy $ on a Sunbright that wouldn't even be secure I fell into the TV Shield. Ordered it on a Monday thru Kimberly and recieved it the next day. I was very impressed with the quality of it. Very well made and sleek looking. Next I found a mount that has a locking system that allowed it to be locked via a padlock. Pulled the trigger on a 42 led 1080p tv. Went with led because it has the brightest picture. Everything was here by Friday and was ready to install. The youtube video walks you right through everything and made the install a breeze. Ran a hdmi cord off my kitchen Directv box and set the remote to rf. It looks amazing and very secure with the locking system. Had a party of 20 people and people were blown away by it. You can open the front glass and have perfect picture and sound. Had a huge storm blow thru last night and not a drop got in. If your on the fence just pull the trigger its worth every penny.

    Great Product

    Posted by TechLady08 on 20th Aug 2014

I wanted a TV for my husband and I to watch on our deck. I had no idea that outdoor TVs were priced in the thousands. This TV shield was a great alternative. I gave it to my husband for his birthday. He loved it! I bought the package with the fan and mount. The instructions were easy to follow and it was pretty much mistake proof. We needed the fan in hot West Texas. The case came with the fan installed. We have had no problems with it and have even accidentally left it open when it was raining, with no damage to the TV. It is very protective and air tight. We like the look of it. It has kind-of a space age look.

    Amazing solution.

I had been looking to complete my back porch but worried about florida rain. I went ahead and did research 6 months back and practically laughed myself out of the idea. Enclosures were about $1500.00+ and pretty much unavailable or custom built. Next was an outdoor television. I was shocked at the price tag. $4,500.00 for a tv? Ummmmmmm no. Next I was doing some searching and stumbled upon the tv shield. To my pleasant suprise it was a new product and I gave it shot. Upon arrival opened it up , read the install, watched the video and started installing my new samsung tv which I got for a steal price. Has wifi and everything. Loaded it up on the back porch and I use antenna or wifi to stream movies and shows. Theres a ton out there that you can do with wifi, just google how to stream with that. No wires showing and its great picture and totally protected. I sprayed down my porch with a high pressure hose and said what the heck give it a shot and watch how it goes. Sprayed all up in there. Not a drop. Next we had a practical monsoon roll through florida a few weeks back...since the tv is right at the edge of the porch it definitely got rain and probably some good 60mph winds. A few trees in the back conservation area fell down and well...again flawless. Looks good, was easy to install and work with. Barely added any weight. I highly suggest an led screen to compete with the bright outdoors, it also runs cooler and is slimmer which gives you more room to work with. As well got the tilt/swivel mount directly from the tv shield on their website so I can adjust to perfection. Cant tell you how fun it is to have a tv outside and when the weather cools down some in florida im going to be out there all the time watching the back porch. Its like I have another room now. Great product! Super happy! A+++++++

    TV Shield

Posted by Mark on 20th Aug 2014

The product arrived quickly as said, I did have to pay brokerage fees (I am from Canada). Make sure you have all the cables attached to the TV that you plan to use because once the TV is attached to the Shield you are not able to attach any thing that is located on the back. The shield does provide protection and was easy to mount, I used a hinged mount so it could move around. All in all it does what it says, I am happy with the result overall.
